Luckily the Lex wasnt too bad, and you realize that it is only a few more months until the Second Ave subway becomes a reality. Wont that be amazing! The doorman greets you with a package (surprise!) , your dry cleaning and a warm, understanding smile. You head upstairs to your quiet, zen-like hideaway. After removing your shoes at the door, you hang your cleaning in the larger of the walk-in hall closets, drop the keys on the foyer credenza, and deposit the package in the office. Hard to believe it was a perfect bedroom for the kids not-so-long ago. Not wanting to waste a moment of precious relaxation time, you wash your hands in the kitchen sink, open a bottle of wine and walk into the living room; you cant start a fire fast enough. After crossing into the master bedroom suite and changing into something comfortable, you return to the sofa and curl up with a book and bask in the warmth and glow of the fire. Ahhhhh. A quick workout downstairs before dinner? no way! Should your sweetie pick up Citarella? Nah, itll be either Seamless, Grubhub or Uber-eat. You take a long, slow pull on that Chardonnay. Mmmmmmmm, the good life.
